St Barth, in the French West Indies, is a volcanic island, with serpentine roads banked with bougainvillea and hibiscus that wind through hillsides dotted with red-roofed villas and hotels and trail down to the beaches and hidden coves. Villa Bomboniere

Always a very special villa, Bonbonniere has just been renovated and will surely be sought after by those looking for a romantic hideaway. A garden path leads to a private little courtyard, a lavabo adds to its charm, and a table-for-two sits under a trellis; perfect for a supper under the stars. Just inside is a compact, well-equipped kitchen with a bar and a dining area. The newly decorated living room has a flat-screen TV and lovely Indonesian touches. It opens to the terrace with its infinity-edged pool and a private sun-deck. Guests here will enjoy a great view and delightful breezes.

The new bedroom and its stylish ensuite bath is exciting and very chic. We love the King bed with its chocolate-brown leather headboard. The bedroom also opens onto the pool terrace and shares the fabulous view. One of the villa’s now most unique features is the second bath.

Located in a open loft, it has a rain head shower, a stylish glass vessel sink, a private WC, louvered storage space and a dressing area complete with a day bed. Villa Bonbonniere is within walking distance to the always fun Ti St Barth. No smoking in the villa.

Villa Everest

Aptly named for its mountain top location, Villa Everest enjoys both sunrise and sunset views. The villa features a king bedroom with ensuite bath an outdoor balcony and a second bedroom with two double beds, ensuite bath and outdoor balcony.

It has a full kitchen, guest bath, indoor dining as well as a comfortably furnished living room with sliders that lead to an outdoor covered dining terrace which lies beside the pretty pool and deck. This villa is perfectly suited to couples or families.

Villa Princess X

The exciting new Villa Princess X, located in the exclusive gated community Domaine du Levant, has much to offer for those looking for a private hideaway close to the beach. Sleek and contemporary in design, it has an open floor plan with spacious living and dining areas that open onto an equally spacious pool deck.

The kitchen is state-of-the-art with a combination cook top island and bar with pull-up stools – perfect for entertaining. The two bedrooms, both with baths en suite, are located at opposite ends of the villa and have access to the pool deck; the master suite includes an office and additional closet space. In keeping with the villa’s contemporary design, the décor is minimalist chic – cool, in every sense of the word, and comfortable. There are plasma TVs throughout.

The outdoor spaces here are exceptional; from the beautifully simple little courtyard with its waterfall (note: a guest bath is discretely tucked away in this area) to the view-laden terrace and deck. The infinity edged lap pool is flanked by gorgeous white leather lounging beds, and to the side is a lovely covered sitting area.

Down a few steps from the deck, a wooden walkway leads to a cabana that is both charming and practical. From there a short path brings one to the edge of the property and a private gate which is just steps from the beach entrance. Guest returning from the beach can “store their gear” in the cabana and freshen-up in the outdoor shower.

There is a guest bath here as well. With its own small deck, gas grill and refrigerator, the cabana also offers an additional al fresco dining option from the main house – and another setting to privately enjoy the fabulous mountain and water views.

Villa Royal Palm

This two bedroom two bathroom deluxe hillside villa boasts stunning panoramic views of the sea, St. Maarten and the sunset. The handsomely furnished air conditioned living room with indoor dining and full kitchen opens to a covered outdoor terrace which features an additional dining table, as well as an outdoor living area, and is adjacent to the pool and sunning area.

Surround music indoors and outdoors adds to the ambience. The king bedrooms with ensuite baths are very nicely decorated. In addition, Villa Royal Palm is equipped with SPA services from Ligne St Barth.
